Frituur Las Vegas is situated in the historical downtown of
Antwerp, a small well-established frituur run by the same owner for at least
over a decade. It is a no-nonsense place that serves fries and all the snacks
and sauces a good Belgian snackbar offers. As I used to live just a couple
minutes away for years, I have been there many a time. I recently revisited the
place and was happy to see it still has the same owner.

I order a small French Fries with (Belgian) mayonnaise, a Vuurvreter
(Fire Eater) with Samurai sauce, and a Bottle of Water. The total was €9. The fries
are not homemade, but made from solid potato and fried very crispy. The mayo is
thin but has a nice sour taste. The Vuurvreter (made of meat and onion in a spicy coating) and spicy sauce are standard but good.
VERDICT:
87/100
One of the better standard frituurs in downtown Antwerp. It has nothing homemade, but all is
well prepared.

Weet jij waar deze frituur naartoe is? Ik ging er vaak frietjes eten wanneer ik een keer in Antwerpen was maar vorige week stond ik ineens voor een kebabzaak... :(

ReplyDeleteNathalie, Las Vegas is helaas gesloten. Ik denk niet dat hij ergens anders een nieuwe frituur geopend heeft.
