Haarlemmermeerstraat 11, 2312 DJ Leiden, Netherlands, T: 071-513-1440
This location has been a snackbar for decades, even if it has changed ownership regularly. It is now owned by a Chinese couple, who have made it into a "Fastfood and Cafetaria" and added some Chinese-Indonesian snacks to the basic offer of Dutch snacks.
I get the Tja Sieuw Sandwich (EUR 2.50 or $2.75), which smells like a Dutch-Chinese restaurant. The meat is heated up in the microwave and put on a classic Dutch roll. The meat (beef?) is a bit dry and chewy and the sauce is salty and a bit spicy.
Leidse Hof is a basic Dutch snackbar with some original Chinese-Indonesian options.
