Quôc Húóng Bahn Mi
Fast Food is a small Vietnamese hole-in-wall restaurant in an Asian strip mall
on the outskirts of Atlanta. It is full of first generation Asian immigrants as
well as some second generation Asian Americans. The menu is classic Vietnamese
food, including various types of noodle soup (such as Pho), bun, and Bahn Mi
sandwiches.
I start out with
Vietnamese egg roles ($5.50), a huge portion of small crispy deep-fried
“lumpias” which only have dough and meat and are mainly salty. I also get a
Bahn Mi Thit Nurong or Grilled BBQ Pork sandwich ($3), which is their most
famous dish. The bread is very dry and the modest amount of meat is not
particularly tasty.
VERDICT: 74/100
I might have caught
them on a bad day, but I found it very disappointing.
