Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is one of the more
successful chains of new upscale burger bars, which was founded in Charlotte,
NC in 2007. It now has 18 locations in Colorado, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
It serves almost exclusively burgers or burger-like sandwiches with a large
variety of buns, cheeses, meats, condiments, and sauces.
I make my own burger
($11.50): 7 oz beef, brioche bun, bad daddy sauce, jalapeño bacon, jalapeños,
and shoestring onions, which comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on
side. The burger is perfectly prepared, medium, and the whole thing tastes
great, even if the bun disintegrates too rapidly. The bad daddy sauce is salty
and smokey, while the jalapeños have a good kick. The side of French fries is
much larger than usual and comes with a nice pablano mayo. The fries are
shoestring, so very thin, which is not my thing, but they are very tasty (if a
bit too salty).
VERDICT: 91/100
As always, making
your own burger is a bit pricy, but it was worth it. Excellent burger chain!
