Karl Johans gate 13C, 0154 Oslo, Norway
Stortorvet Kebab is a small hole in
the wall place tucked away in a small promenade in downtown Oslo. It serves the
usual dishes for a shawarma place in Oslo: kebabs, falafel, burgers.
I get a Falafel wrap
(NOK 69 or ca. $8.35). There are four decent sized falafels in a wrap with
cucumber, onion, cabbage, corn, and several sauces, which have a nice kick. The
falafels are tasty, not traditional, but neither too mushy nor too dry.
Unfortunately, they are not well distributed across the wrap, so I start with
only falafel and finish with only salad.
VERDICT: 85/100
While far from
traditional, this is pretty decent falafel.
